LUXOR, EGyPT - LUXOR TEMPLE

AFTER 24 YEARS, THE ALTRA VOLTA STRING QUARTET RETURNS TO EGYPT TO CITY OF VALLEY OF THE KINGS!

Our quartet as part of the music band called "ARIA" together with excellent Italian and Egyptian musicians performed a great gala of film music, during which we played such hits as "Rocky", "The Last Mochikanin" and "Pirates of the Caribbean". The gala was held as part  of a series of events for MasterCard.

The place where we performed the concert was absolutely breathtaking! The stage was set right at the very entrance to the ancient Luxor Temple - located on the banks of the Nile, completed around 1400 BC. by the pharaohs Amenhotep III and Ramesses II. Knowing that a dozen or so kilometers from the place where we played the concert there is the Valley of the Kings - the burial place of some of the greatest ancient pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Seti I and Amenhotep II - further stimulated our imagination. A concert in such an extraordinary place is a real satisfaction and pleasure, for which we would like to thank our friend Martino Crespi, who made this project possible!
